Tour Overview
Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its archaeological wonders, also boasts extraordinary avian diversity within its picturesque landscapes. The region not only echoes the remnants of an ancient civilization but serves as a sanctuary for a multitude of bird species, both native and migratory.
Hampi is a haven for bird enthusiasts, offering sightings of endemic species like painted spurfowl, Indian eagle-owl, and the Indian paradise flycatcher, alongside numerous migratory birds.
The convergence of history and nature in Hampi creates a captivating backdrop for birdwatching, providing an unforgettable experience for wildlife enthusiasts and history aficionados alike.

Tour Schedule
Day 1: Check-in, first evening bird photography session
Reach the resort by 11 a.m. and meet the tour leader there. Lunch will be served at the resort upon arrival and followed by a tour briefing session.
Post lunch, the first bird-watching/ photography session begins inside the hide. A variety of endemic and migratory birds visit the campus birding hide, spend time with your guide and tour leader to learn about the birds, and photograph them.
At dusk, relax with a cup of tea/ coffee along with hot snacks.
Late evening, before the dinner, the group meets to discuss photography and birds in general. Dinner and rest for the day.
Day 2: Morning and evening bird photography sessions
Wake up to the calls of birds around the camp area and refresh yourself with a cup of tea/ coffee. Get ready quickly for a thrilling morning photography trail followed by breakfast at the resort.
Post breakfast, you will be at leisure, free to take a stroll around the beautiful property enjoying the serene landscapes and bird watching.
After lunch, we leave for the second birding session of the day at the hide.
Evening at your leisure, we discuss the day’s memories and review the images made during the day.
Dinner and rest for the day.
Day 3: Morning safari and check-out
Enjoy another dawn waking up to the songs of beautiful birds. Followed by the morning birding trail and photography session.
Post breakfast, we briefly meet to discuss any questions that the participants may have and summarize the tour sightings. We pack, check out and head back by 11:00 a.m.
Throughout the course of the tour, mammals and birds of Indian Subcontinent books are available with the tour leader for the participants to refer to and learn.

Tour Companion
Poorna Kedar, a nature lover, and a professional wildlife photographer. He spent about a decade in various genres of photography, the majority of those years in nature & wildlife alone. His favorite subject is birds, he loves shooting anything from mammals, macro, and landscape.
